3GP (3GPP) is a multimedia container format defined by the Third Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) and used mostly for streaming media on mobile phones over cellular networks. It supports compression formats like H.263, H.264, MPEG-4,etc to reduce size of video and audio data and for video streaming over GPRS.
