The Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file format is a subset of the PostScript language for graphics file interchange. It is used for vector and bitmap formats, such as illustrations, logos, barcodes, and other graphical elements. EPS files are supported by many different applications and are often used in desktop publishing. The EPS format enables vector editing and can be exported to other formats, such as PDF, JPEG, or TIFF. Graphics created in an EPS format can also be scaled to a higher or lower resolution without affecting image quality. Vector-based graphics in EPS files are typically used for print media, while bitmaps are ideal for web graphics. | WBMP (Wireless Bitmap) is an image file format intended for use on the WAP (Wireless Application Protocol, a standard for sending data from mobile phones to the web) platform. It is the simplest monochrome image format with only black and white pixels. A WBMP file consists of minimal information in a very compact size. Like all monochrome images, a WBMP file uses 1 bit per pixel, which makes it ideal for sending images to devices with limited or low-bandwidth connections. This image format is also supported by many of the major web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. |
