FB2 to PDB converter

FB2 (FictionBook) is an XML-based e-book file format created mainly for electronic books, digital magazines, and newspaper archive collections. It is used to store books in a single file, which can include embedded materials such as images, videos, sound clips, active hyperlinks, etc.

FB2 files usually have an .fb2 extension and are open source and platform independent. They also often contain information about the author and language of the book, as well as annotations like reviews and general information about the book's contents. They are read by most modern ebook readers and making them great for any kind of digital reading experience.

The PDB (Protein Data Bank) file format is used to store 3-dimensional structural data of biological molecules, such as proteins and nucleic acids, which can be visualized with chemical visualization programs. The PDB file contains information about the atom's coordinates, the residue name and sequence number, the secondary structure information, and numbers and names of hetero-atoms.

The PDB files are faithfully adopted to the widely used mmCIF (macromolecular Crystallographic Information File) syntax and are loosely associated with the following formats: mdl (Mol), mol2 (Tripos), sdf (Sparta), and cif (Cambridge).
